Adai Adai Dance is a mesmerizing traditional folk-dance originating from Brunei Darussalam. According to the literature, the dance was originally born in Kampong Ayer influenced by the Malay genre.

Adai Adai Movements

Performed by a talented ensemble of both male and female dancers, Adai Adai Dance commences with the male performers majestically parading onto the stage, bearing their fishing nets and spears as symbols of their noble trade.

With each step, the male dancers effortlessly embody the essence of fishing, artfully mimicking the motions and gestures associated with ancient fishing tradition, such as using the oar and paddling a boat.

Soon after, the female dancers gracefully join the stage, seamlessly blending their movements with those of their male counterparts.
